The Art Deco Jewelry Era Circa 1915 through to the 1940s

Exploding after the Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes that took place in Paris.This important Jewelry Period is synonymous with Bold Geometric Design and Avante Garde Jewelry reflecting the desires of the newly independent woman of the 20th Century. Art Deco Jewelry was Iconic and Innovative reflecting the influences of the Machine Age, Speed and Abstract thinking. White jewelry was the rage, Diamonds Galore in Geometric Settings, the Stark designs of the Bauhaus School reflected a new way of seeing the world. In the harsh war years Precious Metals were scarce and Silver and Costume Jewelry reached new heights. Egyptian Revival Jewelry was in full swing, Flapper beads were fun whilst doing the Charleston. Many Designers like Theodor Fahrner and Jakob Bengel produced Jewelry the like of which had never been seen before.
